Three Tesla Motors executives die in tragic plane crash

Jalopnik is reporting that three Tesla Motors executives have died in a small plane crash in Palo Alto, California this morning. Investigators are still trying to determine if the crash was caused by a mechanical problem, or caused by low visibility due to heavy fog in the Bay area today.

The private plane they were in crashed into a daycare center. Pilot and both passengers in the plane are dead. None of the 7 occupants of the daycare center were injured.

Tesla Motors has confirmed that the crash has indeed taken the lives of three of its employee's. The names of those who have perished were not disclosed pending notification of next of kin. More details will be provided as they come to light.
