Like any other son looking for a Father's day gift for his loving father we were on the prowl for something unique. Something other than your standard pair of socks, a new shirt, or the old standby a tie.
Out of nowhere came the Motor Mouse. The Motor Mouse is styled around a Porsche 911. It has sleek lines, a fantastic look, and best of all tracks like a dream!
The Motor Mouse is a 2.4ghz wireless mouse that connects to your Mac, or PC via a 19mm wireless receiver. While giving it the test run I decided to check it out on both operating systems. Primarily, of course out of sheer curiosity.
So here I am sitting at my desk playing with this slick little Porsche 911 styled mouse, and a co-worker walks by and says "Oh! Where did you get that? I want one!"
So here I am typing away and I'm getting positive feedback on its styling already. So I'm thinking ok, I'm sold! This little mouse looks great, tracking as mentioned above is fantastic, and best of all it is wireless!
The downside... I've found two minor issues, one is well I have larger than average hands, so the Motor Mouse will go into it's nice little carrying case and be placed into my laptop bag for travel. The other issue is actually a very minor one that most won't have an issue with. That is the battery cover. While it seems like it is going to be very simple to just use the back side of the mouse to slide the latch back to expose the battery bay, it actually took me sliding a fingernail into the tiny little slot on the top to push the hatch up.
Like I mentioned though, the battery hatch is a very minor issue that can easily be over looked. The way the battery hatch opens once you do get it open is very intuitive, and overall just pretty darn cool. Oh, and did I mention that is comes standard with Chrome alloy wheels?
As far as a daily use item goes, unless you've got a small hand you might want to shy away from it. If you need something that is going to turn heads, or is just a fun mouse for travel or laptop use then this is it!
